Historic Homes & Garden Tour Profile: The Blades House

The Blades House, also known as the W.B. Blades House, is a historic house located at 602 Middle St. Built in 1907 for lumber magnate William B. Blades, it was designed in the Queen Anne style by prolific local architect Herbert Woodley Simpson.

The Blades Veranda Café will be open during the Spring Historic Homes and Gardens Tour. Come sit and enjoy something delicious on the veranda. $8 donation for a homemade box meal featuring:

Café’ Sandwiches, choice of one sandwich
~ Roasted sliced eggplant with goat cheese, roasted peppers, and pesto on a French baguette
or
~Homemade chicken salad on sliced wheat bread
Served with:
~Pasta salad with fresh summer veggies and herbs
~Homemade baked good
~Cold beverage

And a gluten free option is available, too. All yummmmmy !
