The New Bern Preservation Foundation (NBPF) is thrilled to invite you to the 39th Annual Antique Show & Sale, our signature fundraiser — and one of the most anticipated events in town! This cherished tradition brings together lovers of history, design, and community, all in support of a vital cause: preserving the architectural heritage of New Bern.
Over the last 53 years, thanks to generous supporters like you, we’ve saved more than 70 historic buildings from demolition and neglect. Each antique purchased, each ticket sold, and each story shared helps us continue this important work.
A Show with Deep Roots
Many of our antique dealers have been part of the show for over 25 years, returning annually with curated pieces that span centuries and styles — from Southern primitives to European collectibles. These familiar faces have become part of the extended NBPF family, and their deep knowledge and passion add so much to the experience.

The First Look Reception & Presale gives you early access to explore and shop the treasures — from furniture and artwork to glassware, silver, textiles, and more. But it’s not just about the shopping. Guests enjoy delightful food, wine, and time with old and new friends in a relaxed, historic atmosphere. It’s the perfect kickoff to a weekend full of stories, surprises, and timeless finds.
Growing Bigger in 2026
We’re excited to share that in 2026, the show will expand to include 26 vendor locations, giving visitors even more to explore and discover. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just browsing, there’s something for every eye and budget.
Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future
This year’s guest preservation speaker is Robert A. Leath, Executive Director of the Edenton Historical Commission, who will share the fascinating story behind the restoration of the Cupola House.
His talk continues our tradition of blending meaningful education with festive celebration. Meanwhile, the planning committee is busy crafting even more exciting additions to this year’s show — more details coming soon!
